This collection includes publication materials for a single book, Here I Am!, an anthology of children's poetry, which Virginia Baron edited and published in 1969. Materials include corrected typescripts, galley proofs, correspondence, notes, and children's art.

Virginia Olsen Baron was born in 1931 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She attended Beaver College (now Arcadia University) from 1949-1951. In addition to being a writer and editor of poetry, Baron has also been chairman of the Children's Program series at Columbia University (1956-1958), president of Greenhouse Nursery School (1957-1958), a radio producer (1960-1961), publicity director for a publisher (1962-1964), and member of the board of directors of Columbia Press beginning in 1963.
