<emph render="bold">Biographical Sketch</emph>

Biographical Sketch Pelagie Doane was born April 11, 1906 in Palmyra, New Jersey, and died December 9, 1966. She was a writer and illustrator of children's books, starting her career in greeting card work. She illustrated over 70 books, including all of those she herself wrote.
