Biographical / Historical

English author Anne Knowles was born November 25, 1933, in Oxford, England. She earned her BA from Bedford College in London and became an English teacher and writer. Her first children's book, Flag, was published in 1976. In addition to writing and teaching, she ran a small farm in the Cotswolds, taught riding, and painted.
