Biographical / Historical
Padraic Colum was a noted playwright, essayist, novelist, poet, and author of books for children. He was born in 1881 in Ireland and emigrated to the United States in 1914. He was active in both Ireland and the U.S. Colum died in 1972 in Connecticut.
