Biographical / Historical
Hillel Halkin is an American-born Israeli writer and translator. He was born in New York City in 1940 and studied at Columbia University. He moved to Israel in 1970. Halkin has written in various genres, including biography, fiction, and travel literature, and is also well known for his translations of Hebrew literature into English.
