Biographical / Historical

Sculptor and author Jane White Canfield was born in 1897 in Syracuse, NY. She studied in Paris and the Art Students League in New York. In addition to her art, Canfield wrote two children's books, The Frog Prince: A True Storyand Swan Cove. She died of cancer in 1984.
