Biographical / Historical

Robert Hofsinde was born in 1902 in Odense, Denmark, emigrated to the United States in 1922, and died in 1973. He wrote and illustrated over a dozen children's books about about Native American life and culture.

Abstract

The collection contains production material related to children's books written and illustrated by Hofsinde.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

The author donated pieces of the collection to Irvin Kerlan as well as directly to the CLRC. Further donations were given to CLRC by Robert's wife, Geraldine, after his death in 1974.
