Biographical Sketch
Marilyn Fitschen is an illustrator of children's books. She married children's author Dale Fitschen on February 10, 1962. They have three daughters. Fitschen received her BFA from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, and worked as a painter, book and magazine illustrator, teacher, accreditation administrator for 20 years at the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). She also is the artist of Grim Fairy Tales for Adults, written by Joel Wells, and Rotten snags! Rotten hair!, co-written by her husband. She has recently retired but continues to be active with her interests in music, dance, theater, reading, gardening, cooking, travel and spending time with their grandchildren.
