Biographical / Historical

Margaret Moore Hodges was born in 1911 in Indianapolis, IN. She wrote over fifty books for children, specifically in the areas of fiction based on experiences with her three boys, biographies and retellings of myths and folktales. She received awards for Saint George and the Dragon: A Golden Legend, The Arrow and the Lamp: The Story of Psyche, St. Jerome and the Lion, Sant Patrick and the Peddler,and The Hero of Bremen. Hodges died in 2005.
