Scope and Contents
The collection contains a small amount of illustrative material for children's books created by Scarry, and includes illustrations with separations, an original tempera illustration signed by Scarry for Irvin Kerlan, and an ink and watercolor jacket study.

Biographical / Historical
Children's author and illustrator Richard Scarry was born June 5, 1919, in Boston, Mass, and died April 30, 1994, in Gstaad, Switzerland. His works have been translated into 28 languages, and have sold over one hundred million copies.
