Biographical Sketch

Erika Weihs was born on November 4, 1917 in Vienna, Austria. She earned her degree in 1937 from the Graphische Lehr und Versuchanstalt in Vienna and attended the Leonardo da Vinci Art School in New York. She was the illustrator of over 30 books for children and the author and illustrator of Count the Cats.
