Biographical / Historical

Walter Wilwerding was born on February 13, 1891 in Winona, Minnesota. He was vice-president and director of education at the Art Instruction School, Minneapolis, Minnesota and an illustrator and author of children's books, mainly related to animal life. He was a member of the Society of Animal Artists, American Geographical Society and the Association of Professional Artists (Minneapolis). Mr. Wilwerding died on September 19, 1966.
