The Nancy Farmer Papers contain typescripts, page proofs, and related material for 13 titles by or including Nancy Farmer, as well as some typescripts of speeches and interviews. It is primarily comprised of typescripts and corrected typescripts, but also includes page proofs, galleys, front matter, covers, correspondence, editorial notes, and style sheets.

Biographical / Historical

Nancy Farmer was born in 1941 in Arizona, and earned a BA from Reed College in 1963. She has spent a significant portion of her life traveling, as she joined the Peace Core and lived in India after graduating from college, and also spent many years living in Mozambique and Zimbabwe, where she first began writing. Her books have received many awards, including three Newbery Honors, and a National Book Award. She currently lives in the Chiricahua Mountains in Arizona.
