The collection contains eleven ink and watercolor illustrations based on the stories "Beauty and the Beast," "Minon-Minette," and "The Water Goblin." The collection also contains a pastel portrait of the artist's daughter, Jane.

Irene Mullen Larson was born Irene Mullen. She was married to architect Edwin Larson, who worked for Ellerbe & Co.
