Scope and Contents

The Floyd Cooper Collection contains one illustration created for the picture book These Hands, written by Margaret H. Mason and illustrated by Cooper and one illustration for the book "Sisters and Champions: The True Story of Venus and Serena Williams." Both illustrations are oil wash with kneaded erasures.

Biographical / Historical

Award-winning illustrator Floyd Cooper was born in Tulsa, OK and graduated with a fine arts degree from the University of Oklahoma. He began illustrating children's books in the 1980s, and currently lives in Easton, Pennsylvania.
