Scope and Contents

The collection contains watercolor illustrations by Lizzy Rockwell for the 1989 picture book Apples and Pumpkins, written by her mother, Anne Rockwell, as well as an ink dummy created by Anne. In addition, the collection holds the watercolor jacket illustrations by Lizzy Rockwell for new editions of several picture books written by Anne Rockwell and originally illustrated by Harlow Rockwell and/or Lizzy Rockwell.

Biographical / Historical

Author, illustrator, and artist Lizzy Rockwell is the daughter of children's books creators Anne Rockwell and Harlow Rockwell. She studied at Connecticut College and the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She has illustrated over two dozen children's books and also written several books. She lives in Connecticut
