HISTORICAL SKETCH

Archimovych (1892-1984) was a botanist, born in what is now Briansk Oblast, RSFSR. At the end of World War II, he immigrated to Germany, then to Spain and finally, in 1953, to the United States. He was a member of the Shevchenko Scientific Society and the Ukrainian Academy of Arts and Sciences in the United States.
