HISTORICAL SKETCH
The Association was formed in 1957 by university students in Cambridge, Massachusetts, who were refugees from the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. The group assisted Hungarian refugee students in Canada and the United States and conducted an exchange program between American and Hungarian students. The Association is a charter member of the United Federation of Hungarian Students, an international organization. Original name - Eszakamerikai Magyar Egyetemistak es Foiskolasok Egyesuleteinek Szovetsege.
