HISTORICAL SKETCH
The Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain (Soiuz ukraintsiv u Velykii Britanii or SUB) was founded in 1945-1946, the oldest and largest Ukrainian organization in Great Britain. Involves itself in cultural-educational, publishing, charitable and business activities. The head office is located in London. In 1981, of about 33,000 Ukrainians in Great Britain, 17,322 were members of the Association. ("Encyclopedia of Ukraine," University of Toronto Press, 1984)
