Italy, Legation in the United States to the Dept. of State records
Abstract
Records (1861-1906) of the Italian Legation in the United States consist of some unofficial communications from officials of the Legation to the Department of State, telegrams and cables, memoranda prepared by State Department officials commenting on Italian notes, memoranda of conversations between officials of the Legation and the Department of State, communications from White House officials, and copies of speeches delivered by Italian ministers and ambassadors. Included are letters or copies of letters from the King of Italy to the President of the United States, claims of Italians against the Government or citizens of the United States, lists of officials and employees of the Italian Legation, copies of communications from Italian consulates in the United States to the Legation, and pamphlets, newspapers, and other printed material.
