HISTORICAL SKETCH
The Finnish Socialist Chapter, Ely, Minn., was founded ca. 1910 as a chapter of the Finnish Socialist Federation. In the Socialist/Communist split of 1921, Ely went with the Communists and became a chapter of the Finnish Workers Federation.
