Abstract
Papers include correspondence, newspaper clippings (many pertaining to Sadowski's daughter), financial documents, and photographs. Also included are notes on ancestry, issues of medical society bulletins, and bulletins of Polish American organizations.

HISTORICAL SKETCH
Dr. Sadowski (1879-1965) was born in Plock, Poland, and came to the United States as a child. He graduated from the Detroit College of Medicine in 1903. Sadowski practiced in the Detroit area and was active in numerous Polish American and professional associations as well as being on the board of directors of several companies. He was a member and/or officer of the Polish American Congress, the Polish Roman Catholic Union, and the Medical and Dental Association of Americans of Polish Origin, and was a founder of Polish Falcons Nest No. 79 (Detroit). He also served on the Detroit City Plan Commission and was the recipient of many awards and honors.
