Helen Hatab Samhan collection
Abstract
Collection consists of correspondence and financial records of the Mount Lebanon Relief Committee (New York), chaired by N.A. Mokarzel, Al-Hoda Editor. Included is a donation account ledger of the organization. The committee appeared to be initiated at the start of World War I, probably in conjunction with the Lebanon League of Progress. The ledger documents donations from immigrants in the Americas. Additionally, there are documents received by the Mount Lebanon Relief Committee from the Parliament in Beirut (Beyrouth), Lebanon (1926) (Description provided by Helen Samhan.)
