Abstract
Papers (1928-1974) of Caesar L. Donnaruma (1900- ) consist mostly of records and correspondence relating to publication of the Italian American newspaper La Gazzetta del Massachusetts (later the Post-Gazette). Of special interest is correspondence with political figures, including John F. Kennedy.

HISTORICAL SKETCH
Caesar L. Donnaruma (1900- ) was born in Boston, Massachusetts, son of James V. and Florence Donnaruma. Caesar began his apprenticeship in journalism with his father's Italian language newspaper La Gazzetta del Massachusetts and after his father's death in 1953 became its publisher. The paper's name was later changed to Post-Gazette and its language to English. Donnaruma retired in 1971.
