HISTORICAL SKETCH
June 30, 1921 in Tallinn, Estonia - Nov. 17, 1983Studied in the University of Tartu 1943-1944. Emigrated to Germany during WWII. 1947-1949 worked as a secretary-interpreter and clerk-typist in the International Refugee Organization's Assembly Center Valka in Germany. 1949 emigrated to USA. Became U.S. citizen in 1955. Father: Alfred (art historian) Mother: Linda Vaga (nee Ingermann)

PROVENANCE
Collection transferred to the IHRC from the Estonian Archives in the U.S.A. (EAU) in 2003-2005. It was processed as part of a collaborative project between the Estonian Archives in the USA (Lakewood, New Jersey), the National Archives of Estonia (NAE), and the IHRC in March 2012. Gristel Ramler and Tiina Trumberg of the National Archives in Tallinn, Estonia, worked with IHRC staff on the project.
