Konstantyn Klepachivsky papers
Abstract
Papers (1919-1956) of Konstantyn Yosypovych Klepachivsky (1887-1979), a lawyer and banker, contain corresondence, materials pertaining to the State Bank of Ukraine, photographs, biographical materials, maps, and miscellany. Also included are newspapers, periodicals, correspondence, and miscellany of his wife Maria Klepachivska.

HISTORICAL SKETCH
A lawyer and banker, Konstantyn Yosypovych Klepachivsky (1887-1979) was born in Novo Ivanivka, Ukraine. He graduated from the University of Petersburg, Russia, in 1914, and worked in the Petersburg Court, the Government Bank in Petersburg, the Ukrainian government bank in Kiev, and the Bank of Ukrainian National Republic. He transported and safeguarded the archives of the Ukrainian National Bank, which were later seized by the German army. Klepachivsky also worked as a consultant. He came to the United States following World War II.
