Collection donated to the IHRC by the Telegraph Hill Dwellers of San Francisco, California in 2006. The interviews are part of a project undertaken by the Bancroft Library's Regional Oral History Program, University of California, Berkeley in 1993-1996 to document the experiences of Italian Americans from San Francisco's North Beach District. The interviews were transcribed and edited by volunteers from the Telegraph Hill Dwellers' Oral History Project. THD is a non-profit organization founded in 1954 to "perpetuate the historic traditions of San Francisco's Telegraph Hill and to represent the community interests of its residents and property owners".
