HISTORICAL SKETCH
Järvesoo, Elmar 22.03.1909 - 07.12.1994 Daytona Beach, Florida, USA (burried in Tartu, Estonia). Born in Pati, Pärnumaa, Estonia. Until 1935 known under the surname of Gerberson, Jarvesoo in the U.S. Wife: Aino Järvesoo (married in 1938). Emigrated to Germany in 1944 and to the U.S. in 1949. Scientist of agriculture.

PROVENANCE
Collection transferred to the IHRC from the Estonian Archives in the U.S.A. (EAU) in 2003-2005. It was processed as part of a collaborative project between the Estonian Archives in the USA (Lakewood, New Jersey), the National Archives of Estonia (NAE), and the IHRC in March 2009. Gristel Ramler and Birgit Nurme of the National Archives in Tallinn, Estonia, worked with IHRC staff on the project.
