Biographical / Historical
Lilian Cicio's family immigrated from Sicily and later lived in Williamsburg, New York, where she worked as a sales clerk in a department store, then left school to become a secretary. Her grandmother was a midwife. The neighborhood comprised various nationalities and ethnic groups - Sicilians, Neapolitans, Italians and the French.
