Historical Note
The Minnesota Chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians (MNSAH) hosts members who love architecture and are eager to experience the built environment of Minnesota and the Upper Midwest with fellow enthusiasts. MNSAH sponsors in-depth tours of unique and important buildings (most, rarely open to the public).
The purpose of the Chapter is six-fold: 1.) To broaden awareness and appreciation of architectural heritage. 2.) To promote research and provide a forum for the exchange of ideas related to architectural history. 3.) To offer opportunities to personally experience significant architectural sites, structures and landscapes. 4.) To promote the preservation and recording of important architecture. 5.) To cooperate with learned and professional societies in the pursuit of common objectives. 6.) To seek and accept financial support from individuals, philanthropic organizations, and foundations in the furtherance of Chapter objectives.
Annual membership in the Chapter is open to any individual, organization, corporation, or other entity. An annual membership meeting is held each year to elect the Board of Directors and Officers.
