Scope and Content Note

The collection contains plans for bridges not constructed in St. Paul during the 1930s. These include plans for a viaduct on Grotto Street (1930) and the Robert St.-Wabasha St. esplanade (1931). Other plans include sections, street profiles, grade depressions and track plans for the West Seventh Street Grade Separation for the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul railroads (1928-1930, 1933, 1950, 1964-1966).

The Bridge Division of the St. Paul Department of Public Works maintains the structural integrity and safety of all bridges in the city of St. Paul. State bridges are under the control of the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT).
