Biographical Note

William Milbrath was an architect, spending the bulk of his career working in the Austin, Minnesota area. He earned his B.A. in architecture from the University of Minnesota in 1941 and served in the U.S. Air Force in the area of design, construction and administration in the Pacific Theatre. After the war, he worked as a construction engineer for the Green Giant Canning Company in Le Sueur, Minnesota (1948-1950) and for Plan Associated in Osage, Iowa. In 1950, he settled in Austin, Minnesota, establishing a private architectural practice.
