Harold Dixon papers
Scope and Content Note
The collection includes questionnaire returns and general information from Harold Dixon’s survey of 68 theater companies around the United States. In addition, the collection contains 42 U.S. returns with additional promotional literature attached, 45 returns from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area (some with additional literature), 9 returns with literature from companies in England, Ireland and Canada, and 87 returns with literature from theater companies in the Los Angeles area. There are also 10 photographs from various theater companies and a copy of "Los Angeles Live Theater" promotion.

Biographical Note
Harold Dixon conducted this survey as the basis of his theater Ph. D. thesis at the University of Minnesota, entitled Regional Theatre Profile: Decentralized Theatre in America. Comparative Survey and Critical Analysis of Two Regional Centers: Minneapolis/St. Paul and Los Angeles (University of Minnesota, 1976).
