Mike Steele papers

Identifier: PA066

Scope and Content Note

The majority of the collection consists of dance reviews written by Mike Steele as well as the advance research and programs for the reviewed performances. These are organized by the name of the performer or dance company. They have been maintained in the organization created by Steele, so although most of the performers have their own folder, each letter also has a folder consisting of a variety of dancers/companies. (e.g. Baryshnikov is well represented in the collection, however Steele put most of his work in the "B" folder instead of creating a separate "Baryshnikov" folder.)

Also included are articles published in various publications, both by and about Steele. One folder contains information and correspondence related to a Steele directed production of Talley's Folly.
