The collection contains administrative files from the Association of the Children's Theatre (ACT) and files pertaining to ACT events and programs. ACT's records also include a small collection of Children's Theatre Company history and memorabilia, and ephemera such as buttons, watches, and canvas bags.

The Association of the Children's Theatre Company (ACT) was the volunteer support and fundraising organization of the Children's Theatre Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota. ACT was active from 1975-1995, and during that time they held numerous benefits and other events to raise funds for the company. They also supported the educational endeavors of the theater, providing scholarships for young actors and hosting events for school teachers.
