The Hennepin Theatre Trust is a non-profit organization creted to assume resresponsibility for and guarantee the future of the State, Orpheum and Pantages Theatres which line Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis. The Trust was established in 2000, and took formal ownership of the theaters from the City of Minneapolis in 2005. In 2011, Hennepin Theatre Trust established a fourth performance space named New Century Theatre, a flexible performance space on the street level of City Center in downtown Minneapolis. Hennepin Theatre Trust continues to operate, preserve, and program in these historic theatres and the downtown area in which they reside.
