The collection includes 93 U-matic video cassette recordings and 54 digital video files spanning 1990-1996. Several of the tapes are accompanied with printed copies of the broadcast's program schedule with timings.

Biographical Note
The Cedar Social was a televison show produced by Adam Granger and Pop Wagner for SPNN Metro Cable Saint Paul between 1990-1996. Granger and Wagner collaborated in the curation of local and folk musical acts for performances during two-hour segments of televised broadcasts. The Cedar Social included performances from artists such as John Koerner, Tony Glover, and Dave Ray (Koerner, Ray, and Glover); Stoney Lonesome; Peter Ostroushko and Dean Magraw; Dick Kimmel; Trova (Eric Petoniemi, Ruth MacKenzie, Jeffrey Willkomm); and many others.

The collection was donated to the Performing Arts Archives by by Pop Wagner and Adam Granger in 2011. Digitized copies of video recordings were donated in 2017.

The collection was processed and the finding aid written by Tia-Simone Gardner and Kathryn Hujda in September, 2014, with generous support from Creative Heritage Initiative donors.
