The Peg Guilfoyle papers are from Guilfoyle’s research and writing about the Guthrie Theater. Offstage Voices series includes papers, letters and printed email correspondence, administrative and publication production information, and notes and drafts of the publication from the Guilfoyle’s research process in printed, annotated, and digital formats. The Guthrie source materials series include Guthrie Theater Education guides, programs and playbills, marketing materials, press releases, published production reviews and news clippings, several original and photo-copies of published photos, a printed finding aid for the Guthrie Theater Records ( PA003 ) at Andersen Library from 2001, and a draft copy of the second issue of Offstage Voices ( 1971 – 1977 ) .

Biographical Note

Peg Guilfoyle is an author in Minneapolis and St. Paul Minnesota who wrote in the early 2000s about regional cultural history and specifically theater history. She also worked as a production manager at the Guthrie Theater and the Minnesota Centennial Showboat. In addition to “Offstage Voices; Stories from the Guthrie Theater,” Guilfoyle also wrote “The Guthrie Theater: Images History and Inside Voices” published by Nodin Press in 2006, and “Offstage Voices; Life in Twin Cities Theater” published by Minnesota Historical Society Press in 2015.
