Abstract The collection contains one 16mm, black and white, silent film (17 min.) of a 1936 mining inspection trip and tour conducted by U.S. Steel and Ford, Bacon, and Davis, Inc. The tour included Duluth, Minnesota and the surrounding area including the iron range.
Scope and Contents The collection consists of one folder of correspondence (1909-1912) between Minnesota Steel Company and American Hoist and Derrick Company of St. Paul, Minnesota. The correspondence concerns the purchase and installation of two locomotive cranes from American Hoist and Derrick by the Minnesota Steel Company.
Abstract The amateur video consists of 10 minutes of silent black and white footage from 1972 of the plant grounds, plus five minutes of color footage from 1986.
