1918 Forest Fire documents
This collection is intended to accommodate miscellaneous, primary documents related to the October 12, 13, 1918 Cloquet-Moose Lake forest fire and its aftermath when provenance or donor information about the material is unclear or not known.
Charles A. Curtis photograph collection
The collection consists primarily of black and white and color photographs by a photojournalist employed by a Duluth newspaper. The photographs are of the city of Duluth, events, people, as well as the northeast Minnesota area primarily from 1971, 1982-1990s; many are not dated and unidentified.

Patricia Gregory reminiscence of 1918 Fire
Reminiscence related to two families victimized by the Moose Lake-Cloquet Forest Fire of 1918 when it burned Hermantown, near Duluth. The families were Oscar and Rosa Fichtner and Anton and Emilie Klosowsky.
Gustav A. Hedman papers
The collection contains two folders of papers, one of personal papers (1905-1964), and one of employment records, local and state health department reports, and correspondence (1904-1941). Folder two holds December 30, 1927 letters about "disposal of dairy products from the Louis Jacobson farm in Cotton Township where a typhoid fever case developed."
Ray Hinnenkamp CCC Camp photographs
The collection consists of black and white and hand colored snapshots of the camp in summer and winter, camp buildings, men working and recreating at the camp, scenic views of Lake Superior, and animals – fawn, moose, ruffed grouse, wolf, black bear, and a pet dog. The men are not identified, and the scenes are not described.

Ross family photograph albums
The collection consists of two photograph albums. The first contains family photos with some descriptive information in the first section of the album. The second contains photos of Minnesota Power and Light installations with dates and descriptions.
Hjalmer C. Rykken photographs
The collection consists of black and white photographs by Hjalmer C. Rykken amateur but experienced photographer, that were made between October 1958 and July 1962. Content of the photographs includes: streets, views of Lake Superior, Central High School, Fire Hall, the Hibbard Plant, Lakefront, the First Presbyterian Church, Elliott Packing Co., Park Point, and Rail Road tracks.
St. Louis County Humane Society records
The collection contains articles of incorporation; news clippings, 1914-1965; and executive minutes, 1903-1916. The second volume of executive minutes contains a play written by the Society.

Subjects shown in the snapshots are: family life, home interiors, Christmas with children, Lincoln Park, buildings – mostly family dwellings, children with pets, mothers and children on the porch, Seattle, Washington, boats in water, C.A. Nichols, Jr. , Adams School, Oneota Cemetery, 21st Ave. W., Oreck’s Wholesale.
