Collection consists of materials documenting the life of the Latvian American community in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and beyond.
Collection consists of 22 records (33 1/2 rpm) and 2 records (45 rpm) containing Latvian music, both folklore and classical. Some of the records were produced in Germany.
Papers (1924-1997) consist of personal documents, photos, correspondence. Included is sheet music by Knuts Lesins as well as by other Latvian and world composers, in addition to manuscripts, research papers, articles, short stories, speeches, poems and translations done by Lesins. Newspaper clippings, bulletins, newsletters, magazines and books are also included in this collection. There is one audio record.
