Chinchenko was born in Ukraine, and before moving to Canada was professor of biology at Gannon College (Erie, Pa.), and Dunbarton College (Washington, D.C.).

Correspondents include Stefa Michalska, Maria Piatkovs'ka, Nadia Kushlyk, W. Sorokova, and P. V. Matkovs'kas.
