The collection consists of family photographs and two items related to the 1933-1934 city of Chicago 100 anniversary event called A Century of Progress.

The collection consists primarily of black and white and color photographs by a photojournalist employed by a Duluth newspaper. The photographs are of the city of Duluth, events, people, as well as the northeast Minnesota area primarily from 1971, 1982-1990s; many are not dated and unidentified.

The collection consists of one 84 page fragile scrapbook with primarily unidentified and undated local news clippings and 6 photos and 1 photocopied photo.

The collection consists of approximately 1,240 black and white and color slides of Duluth sites, views, events, and activities from 1955-1973.

The collection consists of one CD containing electronic images made from photographs and newspaper clippings. It contains photos of family members, Hotel Nettleton, zoo animals, the Duluth Zoo, amusement rides, and Onsgard Printing. Included are three photos of classrooms with children in the 1950s from Longfellow and McArthur schools. The CD also includes some accompanying documents.

The papers include photographs (1908-1994), an undated wedding portrait, account books (about 1900), hunting and fishing licenses (1960-1988), high school diplomas (1930, 1945), letters, military service papers (1932), greeting cards (1954-1963), and service station papers (1941-1992). The largest part of the collection is fishing and hunting photographs.

The collection consists of a photograph of Arthur B. White; a 1913 Orpheum Theater calendar; photocopied pages pertaining to Duluth from The Saga of the Shufflin' Kid, by White (1940); and genealogical information about the Foote family.
