The collection includes minutes of the Aftenro Society, some written in Norwegian; historical logs; scrapbooks; correspondence; annual reports; and photographs. It also includes one audiotape of Mrs. Arnold Berg, Aftenro historian, recounting the history of Aftenro Society.

Duluth Centennial Commission records
The collection contains programs, correspondence, photographs, reference materials, three scrapbooks, news clippings, account sheets and one film.
Duluth Civilian Defense Council records
The collection contains correspondence, bulletins, publications, news clippings, scrapbooks, photographs, posters, personnel lists, and other reference materials from the war activities of the organization. The records were collected from a variety of sources, such as the Duluth Public Library, the War History Division of the Duluth Civilian Defense Council, and individuals. Parts of the collection, therefore, are sporadic and incomplete.
Duluth-Superior Transit Company records
The collection contains minutes, financial books, annual reports, publications, maps, miscellaneous correspondence, news clippings, photographs, timetables, and microfilmed scrapbooks. Financial records represent the largest portion of records, and there is a significant lack of executive records.
Inman family papers
The collection contains business and personal correspondence,1894-1961; newsclippings concerning shipping and Hiram Inman, 1894-1968; photographs of family, friends and boats, 1893-1934; a sketchbook containing May Inman's sketches of boats and flowers, 1893-1894; and 5 scrapbooks.
Alfred and Mary Jaques family papers
The collection contains correspondence, 1876 - circa 1930; news clippings; pamphlets; elections ephemera; and programs, invitations and announcements for social and personal events.
John P. Johnson papers
The collection contains business correspondence, 1908–1932; news clippings of personal life and friends, 1911–1935; photographs of John P. Johnson, 1929–1931; miscellaneous, 1901–1935; and one scrapbook with news clippings of bank statements of condition, political articles, stock market conditions, census figures, and personal items, 1888–1914.
Junior Auxiliary of the American Legion David Wisted Post records
The collection contains correspondence, scrapbooks and music scores.
League of Women Voters of Duluth records
Contains the business records of the organization including minutes, annual reports, and correspondence, information on local study items, selected newspaper clippings scrapbooks, and audiocassettes and films on various topics.
Merritt family papers
The collection contains personal and financial correspondence, letterpress books, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, manuscripts written about local and family history, financial records, legal papers, maps, photographs, one audio cassette of an interview, and reference materials.

John Stone Pardee papers
The collection contains correspondence, articles written by Pardee, notes and other reference materials. Most of the material concerns Pardee's Duluth, Minnesota civic activities, including the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Tidewater Association correspondence (1918-1930), civic council material (1925-1928) and some correspondence and notes on "Pittsburg Plus" (1924-1927), an issue concerning unfair steel base prices.

The collection contains correspondence, congressional reports and acts affecting the Duluth area, City of Duluth resolutions, project reports, bids, employee information, newspaper clippings, transcripts on harbor activities, and a scrapbook.
