The collection includes minutes of the Aftenro Society, some written in Norwegian; historical logs; scrapbooks; correspondence; annual reports; and photographs. It also includes one audiotape of Mrs. Arnold Berg, Aftenro historian, recounting the history of Aftenro Society.

The records were collected from a variety of sources, such as the Duluth Public Library, the War History Division of the Duluth Civilian Defense Council, and individuals. Parts of the collection, therefore, are sporadic and incomplete.

Jens H. Flaaten papers

The collection includes clippings and programs of the Beethoven Chamber Music Club circa 1900–1902.
Glen Avon Presbyterian Church records
The collection contains material concerning Glen Avon Church collected by the Macfarlane family including: letters regarding dolls for the Annual Flower Show Association, and auxiliary of the church, 1898; church event pamphlets and weekly church bulletins, 1898–1973; correspondence regarding donation of church bell, 1910; news clippings concerning the Flower Show and the first pastor, 1898–1947; and three photographs of the church and Mr. MacFarlane, 1890–1962.

The collection includes correspondence, legal documents, publications, minutes, photographs, financial reports, and news clippings for Goldfine's, Miller Furniture Company, Spirit Mountain Authority, Temple Israel, and the Goldfine family.
Gustav A. Hedman papers
The collection contains two folders of papers, one of personal papers (1905-1964), and one of employment records, local and state health department reports, and correspondence (1904-1941). Folder two holds December 30, 1927 letters about "disposal of dairy products from the Louis Jacobson farm in Cotton Township where a typhoid fever case developed."
Richard H. Hudelson labor history research collection
The collections contains research materials compiled to write Dr. Hudelson's book published by the University of Minnesota Press in 2006 titled By the Ore Docks: A Working People’s History of Duluth.
