1918 Forest Fire documents
This collection is intended to accommodate miscellaneous, primary documents related to the October 12, 13, 1918 Cloquet-Moose Lake forest fire and its aftermath when provenance or donor information about the material is unclear or not known.
Charles and Anna Sandberg Benson family papers
The collection consists of family photographs and two items related to the 1933-1934 city of Chicago 100 anniversary event called A Century of Progress.
Albert and Alfreda Berg family papers
The collection consists of family photographs that document women workers in the U. S. Steel plant in Morgan Park, and one work identification badge.
Cabinet card and postcard photograph collection
Cabinet and photographic post cards donated because there is evidence in most of the images that they were taken or in some way connected to Duluth.
Gayle Thoreson Carlson and Carl E. Carlson family papers
The collection consists of family photographs, papers, and a scrapbook primarily documenting the life of Gayle Thoreson Carlson (d. 2000), and her husband Carl E. Carlson (d. 1992), as well as information on Proctor, Minnesota and the Cozy Café.
Charles A. Curtis photograph collection
The collection consists primarily of black and white and color photographs by a photojournalist employed by a Duluth newspaper. The photographs are of the city of Duluth, events, people, as well as the northeast Minnesota area primarily from 1971, 1982-1990s; many are not dated and unidentified.
Craggencroft School records
The collection contains two photographs of the school and one of five students; calendars with descriptions, photographs, cost, and classes offered; invitations to parents; two report cards; financing contract; and account of presentation of Julia Ward Howe.
Eloise Marie Decker College Days album
Contains one photograph album titled College Days, compiled and lettered by Eloise Marie Decker during 1901-1902 while a student at Craggencroft school in Duluth, Minnesota. There are two copy negatives, one of Eloise at the time of her marriage in 1903, and one of her as a elderly woman. There are photocopies of the two photographs which were lent by the family for copying.
Duluth Children's Museum records
The collection contains articles of incorporation, by-laws, minutes, annual reports, budgets, policies, newsletters, newspaper clippings scrapbooks, photographs, Chisholm family genealogy and photographs, museum programming materials and photographs, American Alliance of Museums museum assessment, strategic plan.
Duluth Photographers' Studios photograph collection
The collection consists of 21 photographs from Duluth photographers' studios.
Walter and Goldie Eldot papers
The collection consists of 1956 articles of incorporation for Duluth Community Chest; a 90 minute interview on cassette tape with 89-year old Glen Merritt on October 26, 1983, about Merritt’s recollections of YMCA’s Camp Miller; and black and white photographs collected by Eldot that may have illustrated his articles in Outlook and Cosmopolitan sections of the newspaper when he was editor.
Elizabeth J. Goodsell slides
The collection consists of approximately 1,240 black and white and color slides of Duluth sites, views, events, and activities from 1955-1973.
Richard H. Hudelson labor history research collection
The collections contains research materials compiled to write Dr. Hudelson's book published by the University of Minnesota Press in 2006 titled By the Ore Docks: A Working People’s History of Duluth.
Jussi K. and Olga S. Kangas papers
Eudora V. Marshall Commemoration Celebration collection
Eudora V. Marshall was born in Aitkin, Minnesota in 1906, and moved to Duluth in 1924. A poet, Marshall was published in newspapers and magazines, and was one of the few black writers in the U.S. who continued to be published during the Great Depression. The collection includes materials that were generated as a result of the decision to present locally as much of Marshall’s extant work as possible.
Michael and Diane Gallagher family papers
The collection contains a family photograph album/scrapbook, 1912-1988, 2002; a file of biographical information and 8x10 photographs about Annabelle Freeman Gallagher Thompson's career in marketing, service on the Duluth Arena-Auditorium Board, Woman of the Year award in 1969; Perry Gallagher's career until his retirement from photography in 1978.
National Organization for Women (Minnesota) records
The collection contains minutes, annual/chapter reports, membership list, correspondence, news releases, by-laws, legislative platforms, resolutions, committee proposals and minutes, state conference information, bus trips to the capitol, photographs, information from related organizations, miscellaneous, newspaper clippings, and oversized posters. Materials from both the Duluth, Minnesota chapter and the statewide, Minnesota, organization are represented in the collection.
William M. and Mina N. Prindle family papers
This is My Country sung by the Carillon Chorale
The collection consists of one 12 in. 33 1/3 rpm monographic LP sound recording of the Carillon Chorale, directed by Muriel Lindor.
C.M. Thurston photograph collection
The photographs of this collection were apparently the property of Mr. C. M. Thurston. Subjects shown in the snapshots are: family life, home interiors, Christmas with children, Lincoln Park, buildings – mostly family dwellings, children with pets, mothers and children on the porch, Seattle, Washington, boats in water, C.A. Nichols, Jr. , Adams School, Oneota Cemetery, 21st Ave. W., Oreck’s Wholesale.

Twentieth Century Club of Duluth records
The collection contains constitution and by-laws; minutes, 1898-1930; scrapbooks, 1898-1982; yearbooks, 1910-1912; pamphlets and serials; membership directories; conference programs; and organizational histories. Some of the scrapbooks include photographs.
Volunteer Center of Greater Duluth records
The collection contains minutes, annual reports, summary financial information, tax records, audits, program and grants files, photographs and videos.
West Duluth Women's Club records
The collection contains six scrapbooks. The scrapbooks hold lists of past presidents and members, newspaper clippings, announcements, programs, and a few snapshots.
