Cereal Rust Laboratory records
The Cereal Rust Laboratory Records are composed of materials generated through research and field work performed in four areas : Barberry eradication, rust epidemiology investigations, rust race studies, and rust nursery work. Materials include correspondence, memos, ledgers, reports, studies, publications; brochures and program publicity, instructional materials, news clippings, scrapbooks, photographs and slides.
Department of Plant Pathology and Physiology records
The collection includes student papers from the 1920s though the 1970s, departmental publications, materials relating to St Paul campus building projects, biographical materials on faculty members, and a significant collection of photographs from the early years of the department through the 1980s.
Elvin C. Stakman papers
The collection contains the papers of Elvin C. Stakman, professor emeritus and chair of the Division of Plant Pathology and Botany at the University of Minnesota.
Helen Hart papers
The collection contains summary notes of rust reports undertaken by F.E. Haglund and summarized by Helen Hart, as well a several folders of typed citations constituting a literature review of rust-related publications. Also included is a xeroxed copy of Robert Bills manuscript on barberry eradication, entitled “One Half Century of Service: The first fifty years of Barberry eradication” with notes and commentary by E.C. Stakman.
John Gibler papers
Collection contains the papers of John W. Gibler, noted breeder of cereal grains and soybeans, and alumnus of the University of Minnesota.
