The collection contains newspaper clippings, 1929–1948; photographs circa 1898, scrapbook with newspaper clippings,1887–1898; and two letters, 1889–1930.

American Red Cross, Northland Chapter records
The collection contains correspondence, reference materials, photographs, and Red Cross publications. Most of the material originated from the chapter's World War I activities, and reflects the relief programs in effect during that war.
Arrowhead Servicemen's Last Man's Club records
The records consist of the history and activity of the Coast Artillery Corps, biographical and obituary information and notices of members, clippings, photographs, and annual meeting notices and bulletins.

Seven of the items are not written by George Barnum, Sr., of those seven, four are letters from George Stowits, one is called "general orders", one is called "general orders #66" and one is a "message to 24th corps from Major General John Gibbon."

Duluth Civilian Defense Council records
The collection contains correspondence, bulletins, publications, news clippings, scrapbooks, photographs, posters, personnel lists, and other reference materials from the war activities of the organization. The records were collected from a variety of sources, such as the Duluth Public Library, the War History Division of the Duluth Civilian Defense Council, and individuals. Parts of the collection, therefore, are sporadic and incomplete.

Veterans of World War I of the U.S.A. Duluth Barracks No. 2788 charter
The collection consists of one document, the Charter, of the Duluth Barracks No. 2788, signed by National Headquarter's National Commander and National Adjutant on recommendation of the National Board of Administration February 5, 1962. The Charter contains a typed list of 59 members' names and two additional names added by hand.
Richard F. Wagner papers
The collection contains four photograph albums; a "yearbook" from B Troop, 1st Squadron, 9th Cavalry of the United States Army; a diary with detailed entries for a few weeks followed by dates noting leaves and returns; and copies of military citations. The materials represent Wagner's service during the Vietnam war.
