A monument commemorating the first iron ore shipment in the state of Minnesota, which was made from Soudan on July 30, 1884, was dedicated on July 30, 1934. This monument is located near the Soudan Mine. This collection consists of a film made at the dedication.

Zweifel-Roleff Studio photograph collection for DM&IR and Oliver Iron Mining
The collection consists exclusively of negatives. The nearly 1000 negatives cover the dates 1942-1954 and were apparently made for the Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range railroad and the Oliver Iron Mining Co.
