The collection consists of the records, letters, news coverage, editorials, and other written materials generated by the group to inform and persuade people to their point of view or in response to the Coalition and local points of view. The collection also contains 29 over sized rally posters.

The collection consists of selected department records, records and maps from special projects, and minutes of special commissions and advisory councils.

This project recorded the memories and experiences of early employees, board members, and community leaders involved in the establishment and start-up of the Western Lake Superior Sanitary District (WLSSD) in Duluth, Minnesota. Fifteen narrators participated.

The collection contains business letters to and from the company, a bank note, and a bond.
